position you will make impacts in the following ways:
- Maintains smooth operation of a variety of networks. Plans,
evaluates, designs, and coordinates installation and/or
reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or
voice communication network.
- Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and
computer hardware and software interconnection and
interfacing.
- Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding
short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.Required
Education, Experience, & SkillsProfessional Skills
- An active Secret Clearance is required.
- Must be able to obtain a Security+ or equivalent security
certification within 6 months of starting.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex problems in a
production environment.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma and 10 plus years of relevant
experience.
- Ability to independently research solutions to problems and
propose viable solutions.
- Ability to work with multiple teams to accomplish complex
tasks.
- Comfortable working with multiple vendors in a heterogeneous
environment.Technical Skills
- Familiarity with at least one virtualization platform.
- Good understanding of Cisco and Juniper technologies.
- Experience with LAN switching technologies such as VLANS,
spanning tree, and ether-channel.
- Capable of configuring network routing protocols such as Static
OSPF & BGP.
- Comfortable with Firewall routing, policy, and inspection.
- Familiarity with configuring and managing NAT devices.
- Experience with IP-Sec VPNs and GRE.Preferred Education,
Experience, & Skills
- Security + or equivalent certification.
- Experience with various WAN technologies such as MPLS and
Ethernet.
- Familiarity with networking requirements for high performance
storage systems.
- Experience with network virtualization and SD-WAN.
- A basic knowledge of programming languages like Python.
- Understand EVPN-VXLAN overlay architectures.
- Experience with VMware network architectures.
- Use of data center orchestration technologies such as
Apstra.
- Familiarity with multicast technologies and anycast
routing.
- Experience with high speed Ethernet technologies (25GB, 40GB, &
100GB physical implementation).
- Familiarity with public cloud technologies.
- Work in a GitOps style automation pipeline.Pay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $130,355 - $221,603Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.Employee
