Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. A licensed Special Education Teacher is needed in
Marblehead, Massachusetts, to provide expert support to middle
school students with language-based learning disabilities (LBLD).
This contract position focuses on delivering high-quality
instruction both in substantially separate classes and inclusive
settings, ensuring that students receive tailored educational
support aligned with their Individualized Education Programs
(IEPs). Key responsibilities include: Collaborating with
multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement instructional
strategies for students with LBLD. Designing and teaching a
small-group, substantially separate math class alongside curriculum
coordinators. Providing inclusion support in science classes to
facilitate student participation and learning. Managing a caseload
of students, serving as the special education liaison, and
maintaining IEP compliance. Conducting formal and informal
assessments to guide instructional planning and service decisions.
Leading Annual Review meetings and coordinating with related
service providers. Working with general education teachers and
instructional assistants to deliver accommodations and
modifications. Monitoring student progress through data analysis,
adapting instruction accordingly, and integrating assistive
technology. Maintaining consistent communication with families to
discuss student progress and needs. Qualifications and desired
experience: Valid Massachusetts Special Education license for
Moderate Special Needs (grades 512) is required. Gilliam or
Orton-Gillingham certification, or demonstrable knowledge of LBLD
preferred. Strong skills in IEP development and compliance.
