Interested in helping the Staples Commercial Sales business
transform into a preeminent provider of workspace solutions? The
Staples Sales Strategy and Enablement team is looking for top
talent who will be responsible for leading major growth and
enablement initiatives for our Staples Advantage delivery
businesses. Staples Advantage works with businesses and
institutions to develop customized programs with specialized
pricing, dedicated account management, and a complete assortment of
products and services to foster growth and solve business needs.
The wide range of office products and services include Business
Interiors by Staples, Staples Technology Solutions, Staples
Facility Solutions, Staples Print Solutions and Staples Promotional
Products.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead North American Commercial Sales growth and transformation
initiatives
- Lead strategic initiatives from inception to execution.
Identify, develop, and oversee various initiatives
- Provide ongoing status/progress reporting to senior leadership;
identify risks and lead efforts to overcome challenges.
- Partner with select leaders to help them develop and clearly
articulate their strategies/plans.
- Evolve an idea to concept, and determine ways to test, develop
and move the concept forward.
- Lead and program-manage cross-functional teams to bring vision
to reality. Develop partner relationships as necessary.
- Build out new capabilities for Staples as needed
- Identify key performance indicators. Measure and report on
KPIs. Adjust initiatives as results require.

-What's needed- Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 10-12 years of experience in a related field
- Able to review a set of facts and challenges and synthesize
them into hypotheses and a story framework that will evolve into a
project plan
- Project management experience ranging from planning and design
through execution, risk mitigation and analyzing results -
What's needed- Preferred Qualifications
- MBA
- Management consulting experience
- Experience working in a sales organization, directly with sales
and sales management and/or consulting experience
- Experience with Pricing, Ecommerce, Merchandising, and/or
Marketing
- Demonstrated experience performing financial modeling and
initiative reporting
- Ability to juggle several high pressure/high profile projects
at once
- Detail-oriented with a high level of personal
accountability
- Entrepreneurial background/experiences
- Track record of strong performance
- Strong analytical and financial skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills (for
presentation to "C" level)
- Strong leadership capabilities and demonstrated ability to lead
cross-functional teams in an effective and collaborative
manner
- Self-motivated with ability to work effectively with minimal
supervision under tight timelines in a fast-paced
environment
- MS Office suite proficiency; excellent Excel and PowerPoint
skills for analysis and presentations
- Strategic thinking combined with "on your feet" thinking,
problem solver
- Ability to think critically and flexibility to work on a
variety of initiatives
