Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, recognized for its pioneering approach in
healthcare, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse II to join our
esteemed main operating room (OR) team. This position offers a

care. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will play a critical role in
managing perioperative nursing care, ensuring patient safety, and
maintaining the highest standards of practice in a high-stress,
dynamic setting. Assess patient condition before, during, and after
surgery, ensuring the appropriate surgical care plan is followed.
Collaborate with the surgical team to prepare operating rooms,
organize surgical equipment, and aid during procedures. Monitor
patient recovery and provide post-operative care and education to
patients and their families. Maintain a sterile environment in the
operating room to prevent infections and other complications.
Record and maintain accurate patient data and medical information
for recovery. Participate in continuous educational programs to
enhance nursing knowledge and skills. Strong ability to work under
pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills. Advanced skills in patient assessment and
perioperative nursing care. Proficient in managing OR equipment and
technology. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of
practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) certifications required.
