Job Description:
Albany Medical Center, a leader in healthcare innovation and
education, is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse II for our
specialized Colorectal Surgery Urology Unit. This critical role
supports our commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and
advancing medical practices through cutting-edge research and
education. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic team
to manage patient care in complex colorectal and urological cases,
collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure
holistic and effective treatment strategies. Provide comprehensive
nursing care for colorectal and urology surgery patients, ensuring
adherence to best practices. Collaborate with multidisciplinary
teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Monitor patient
progress and adjust care plans as necessary. Educate patients and
families on treatment processes, surgeries, diagnoses, and
preventive measures. Participate in research and clinical trials
pertaining to colorectal and urological health. Maintain precise
records of patient care, condition, progress, and concerns. Adhere
to all hospital safety standards and protocols. Advanced knowledge
of colorectal and urological surgical nursing care. Strong clinical
skills in a high-acuity surgical environment. Effective
communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work
collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team. Capacity to engage in
research and educational initiatives. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered
Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. BLS/CPR certification.
Certified Urology Nurse (CURN) or Certified Wound, Ostomy, and
Continence Nurse (CWOCN) preferred.
