Job Description:
At Encompass Health Corporation, we are dedicated to providing
comprehensive, patient-centered care across our extensive network
of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, home health agencies, and
hospice services. We are currently seeking a Lead Dietitian who
embodies our commitment to exceptional patient care, demonstrating
expertise in nutritional counseling and team leadership. This role
is pivotal for developing dietetic strategies that enhance patient
outcomes and for overseeing the dietetic team across our
facilities. Develop, implement, and evaluate nutritional programs
tailored to the specific needs of our diverse patient population.
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of dietitians and nutrition
assistants across various facilities. Collaborate with medical and
healthcare personnel to integrate dietary services and
interventions with overall patient care plans. Conduct patient
nutrition assessments and create customized dietary strategies.
Stay updated with the latest nutritional science research and
integrate evidence-based practices into patient care. Participate
in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure cohesive patient care.
Manage budgets for the dietary department and oversee procurement
of nutritional supplies. Expert knowledge of nutritional science
and dietetic methodologies applicable to a clinical setting. Strong
leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and
interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and
healthcare providers. Ability to adapt dietary plans to meet the
medical and cultural needs of individuals. Analytical skills to
evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition programs. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Registered Dietitian
Nutritionist (RDN) required. Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN)
- applicable in certain states. Board Certification as a Specialist
in Renal or Pediatric Nutrition (optional but preferred).
