Job Description:
Join our committed team at Albany Medical Center, a leading
healthcare system integrating a top tier hospital with a
cutting-edge medical college. We are seeking a dedicated Clinical
Nurse II to enhance our Adult Emergency Department. This role is
pivotal in delivering exceptional care to patients in critical
conditions during night shifts. The successful candidate will be
deeply involved in assessing patient conditions, administering
treatment, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to
facilitate comprehensive emergency care. Provide direct and
comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
Assess patients' condition and implement appropriate nursing
interventions. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
and monitor responses. Collaborate with physicians and other
healthcare professionals to provide optimum care. Document patient
care services by charting in patient and department records.
Educate patients and families on health care needs, conditions, and
options. Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive
maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for
repairs; and maintaining equipment inventories. Proficiency in
emergency room procedures and protocols Excellent patient
assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to respond quickly
and efficiently under pressure Strong interpersonal and
communication abilities Advanced knowledge of electronic health
record systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of
practice Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
