Position Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Profession: Pharmacy Tech
Specialty: Pharmacy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per
Shift: 8.5 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Must have
license in hand prior to submitting Certifications: National
Technician Certification required Must-Have: Good communication
skills to interact with nursing staff and other licensed staff.
Basic technician experience in filling medication dispensing
machines and picking medications. Basic computer skills for
prepacking medications and logging into the documentation system.
Experience in a fast-paced environment preferred. Description: The
pharmacy is open 24 hours daily and operates as a level II trauma
center. The pharmacy technician will perform distribution tasks,
including picking and delivering medications. Responsibilities will
also include answering phones, taking medication-related requests,
and prepacking medications. Technicians are required to conduct
inspections and check for expired medications in the pharmacy.
Teamwork is essential, as staff will collaborate on designated
tasks such as emptying return bins and putting away medication
delivery orders. IV training is preferred or a willingness to learn
IV sterile compounding is required. The pharmacy team consists of
experienced staff, including long-term employees and recent program
graduates. Professional development opportunities such as
continuing education programs are provided. Team building and
