This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.Duration: 12 Months Contract (possible extension)Location: Smithfield, RI (Onsite/ Hybrid)Salary: $100,000 to $110,000/AnnuallyRole: Mainframe DeveloperPrimary Skills: MainframeRole Description: As a Mainframe Developer, you must have at least 10+ years of experience. -The Expertise and Skills You Bring:- 10 years of software development experience in business critical, enterprise-wide applications- Mainframe development expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 & VSAM- Ability to perform detailed analysis for maintenance and improvement projects in the batch and online environments- Deploy and support software releases into production environments- Employ your data security skills to keep our customers information safe- You are detailed and thorough with unit, functional and regression testing- Proven Experience writing COBOL/Native stored procedures is a plus- Experience in Distributed Technologies (Nice to have/Willing to learn)- Confidence to think and act strategically, share innovative insights, and offer creative solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences- Proven strong interpersonal and organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills- Embrace flexibility and shift focus to meet the most pressing customer/client needs- You bring a growth mentality to work every day as you continue to learn new technologies and skills and seek to share that knowledge with your squad membersEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or EquivalentExperience: Minimum 10+ years of experienceRelocation: This position will not cover relocation expensesTravel: NoLocal Preferred: YesNote: Must be able to work on a W2 basis (No C2C)Recruiter Name: Anil ChaudhryRecruiter Phone: 484-331-3968Equal Employment Opportunity -#LI-AC3#Mastech1
