Job Description:
Clean Harbors, a leader in North America’s environmental
services, is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious CDL Driver -
Class A to enhance our transportation team. Our drivers play a
critical role in our mission to manage, transport, and dispose of
hazardous waste, ensuring the safety of the community and integrity
of the environment. This position offers the opportunity to be part
of a driven team committed to making a positive impact on the
environment while adhering to strict safety and regulatory
standards. Operate Class A vehicles in compliance with local,
state, and federal regulations and company policies. Transport
hazardous waste materials from generator sites to designated
disposal or processing facilities. Conduct routine vehicle
inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operations.
Manage and maintain accurate logs for DOT compliance and internal
company requirements, using electronic logging devices when
necessary. Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations
personnel to report delays, unsafe sites or accidents. Ensure all
shipping documents and waste labels are managed properly and in
compliance with regulatory agencies. Participate in safety meetings
and trainings related to hazardous waste handling and emergency
response. Strong driving and navigational skills. Knowledge of DOT
regulations and hazardous waste transportation. Ability to handle
and transport hazardous materials safely. Good verbal and written
communication skills. Proficiency in using GPS and other routing
systems. Ability to maintain composure under pressure and make
decisions in dynamic environments. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Hazardous Materials (HazMat) and
Tanker endorsements. Clean driving record. DOT HazMat Certification
preferred but not required.
